Message from the Chair
As we hopefully see some reduction in the COVID 19 restrictions we can reflect on what the remainder of the year may look like for us.
Sadly the Firle Garden Show will not take place this year as the organisers cannot find a suitable date. In addition, the Horse Show will be held without spectators. Also, the event we planned for the Stade Hall in June cannot go ahead as the anticipated restrictions in place at that time would not make it viable.
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Bobby Schuck the owner of Llama Park earlier this year. Unfortunately, this has now lead the family to take the very difficult decision to close the business. This will therefore mean that we will be unable to hold our events there this year.
The Cooden Beach Hotel has now been sold and the new owners have advised me that they will not be making the venue available for Craft Fairs and other similar events. We will therefore not be able to hold our usual Christmas Fair there this year.
Blackbrooks Garden Centre have advised that they will not be able to facilitate us this year.
The committee is actively looking at alternative venues and events to replace those that cannot go ahead and we will let you know when there is more information on this as soon as we can. If you have any ideas for venues that we should look at please let me know.
In the meantime, below are the latest details for those events we are hoping to put on this year.
