Message from the Chair

As we enter a new year, I think we can look back and reflect on a year when we encountered a number of difficulties but still manged to have some very successful events.
We can now turn our attention to 2022 and the committee has been working hard to ensure that we can have some exciting prospects, returning to some favourite venues and have some new events to look forward to.
Below are details of those events for the summer months that we have confirmed. For these, Booking Forms will be sent to all members after the Annual General Meeting. Please return them to the event organisers as quickly as possible
Also listed are some events which we are planning for later in the year but which are not yet confirmed. When they are, Booking Forms will be sent out

Annual General Meeting

Our AGM will be held this year on 24th February at Robertsbridge Village Hall starting at 7pm.
We will be providing refreshments so this is a great opportunity to catch up with members that you may not have seen for a while.
This year sees Graeme & Sue Mounsey and Jo Castle stepping down from the committee. We are therefore looking for others to join us. If you are interested, please contact the Secretary for more information

Confirmed Events

15th to 17th April Firle Garden Show. This very popular show returns to its traditional time in the calendar.
14th and 15th May Firle Country Show. This also resumes after two years to its familiar slot
25th and 26th June Broyle Country Show. We are returning to this following our initial success last year.
2nd and 3rd July Camper Marmalade. This is a well established event held in Polegate. but something new for us.
30th and 31st July Staplecross Garden Centre. We are returning to this venue.
20th and 21st August Tractorfest, Biddenden. Another popular event returning after difficulties presented by Covid. The show has new organisers and we are looking forward to another successful partnership
29th August Le Marche, Heathfield. We are returning to this event after a very successful time in 2021
16th to 18th September Bentley Woodfair. This will be our first time at the Woodfair which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary so promises to be well attended

Provisional Events

15th October Herstmonceux Craft Fair. A new event in a popular location.
29th October Rotherfield Christmas Fair. Another return to an event which has been successful in the past
12th November Crowborough Christmas Fair. We plan to return to this venue which proved popular last year.
19th and 20th November Cooden Beach Hotel. We are looking to return to this very popular venue.
26th November Nutley Christmas Fair. After last year’s success at this new venue we are returning but on a Saturday this time.
3rd December Heart of the Weald Hospice Christmas Fair, Maidstone. This is an event we will be promoting jointly with the Hospice in an area that is new to us. This has previously been run by the hospice.
