Richard Bingham – Sussex Trug Maker
Richard constructs his Sussex Trug Baskets primarily by hand. The rims and handles are steam-bent around formers using sweet chestnut. Cricket bat willow is used for the boards.
Traditionally made in the Parish of Herstmonceux, for the last 160 years or more, trugs are now becoming scarce and the number of makers on the decline.

Round 8″, 9″, 10″ and 12″.
Square No 7.
