Jean Hardy trades under the name ‘Knitpickers’. She started out kitting for family and friends but has turned her long-standing hobby into a business.
Jean specialises in producing bespoke high quality, competitively priced knitwear and accessories, including cute cup-cake hats, wrist warmers and blankets, using simple modern designs which appeal to children and adults alike. She uses machine washable yarn in a range of exciting colours and textures for the garments she knits. As a result, it is unlikely that any two items will be exactly the same, and are ideal for gifts.
Jean’s signature garment is the hoodie, designed for children up to age 7 years. Each features a special treasure pocket on the front (a faux pocket for those under one year old).
Jean also loves working with customers to produce unique items tailored to their individual requirements and therefore welcomes commissions.
Jean has a Facebook page under the name Knitpickers and has a table at most of the events shown in the Weald Crafts web site, but if you live within a 10 mile radius of Lewes, Hailsham or Seaford, she will be happy to come to you to show you and your friends her collection.
